Vadim Perelman, who directed the acclaimed House of Sand and Fog, has been planning Atlas Shrugged’s movie adaptation for years but with no visible results. Now, ComingSoon.net has confirmed that even though there seems to have been no progress in the past few months, Atlas Shrugged is still moving forward. And Angelina Jolie is still set to star in the movie! Woohoo! =) The delay was apparently coz of Mr. Perelman is polishing up the script. The movie is set to go in production this December, and Angelina Jolie is set to play Dagny Taggart, a powerful railroad executive who must cope when all the “great minds” of the world go on strike. Atlas Shrugged is Ayn Rand’s massively long, pro-capitalist novel that attracted devoted followers and haters ever since it was published.
