The 32-year-old pregnant humanitarian took time out of her busy schedule to speak at the “”Iraq, Education, And Children Of Conflict” forum before the Council on Foreign Relations. Angelina Jolie joined the council last summer. Lisa Shields, vice president of communications at CFR, said,

“Angelina Jolie is accomplished in her field and has demonstrated serious interest in issues such as Darfur, international education and refugees. As such, her profile fits very well with other young professionals we’ve selected as the next generation of foreign policy leaders.”

The Washington Post reports that Angelina Jolie took sons Maddox and Pax to Washington, D.C.’s Air and Space Museum last Monday, April 7. Insiders on the scene told People that Angelina Jolie was “accompanied by security guards and sporting a navy blue hoodie, 6-year-old Maddox and 4-year-old Pax, in an olive green jacket, reportedly asked a barrage of questions as they gazed upon Space Hall, Skylab and the WWI and WWII aerial exhibits.”Angie and her sons were in Washington DC coz she attended the Vital Voices Global Leadership Awards gala last Monday night and the Council on Foreign Relations last Tuesday. Very much pregnant but still very much busy! That’s our Angie! =)

The rapper turned actor is one of Angelina Jolie‘s latest “victim” — that is, co-stars who fall under under her spell. James McAvoy, another Wanted co-star, had already expressed his admiration for the pregnant actress. And now, it’s Rapper Common’s turn. According to him, “I admire her.” And he makes the most of his role opposite Angelina Jolie. He shares,

“I’m an assassin who’s a part of her fraternity. We do some pretty crazy things, but all in the name of justice.”

Rapper also shared that Wanted is “intense.” And that the humanitarian actress is “always really focused on what she’s doing” despite being hounded daily by the paparazzi. One night, the rapper turned actor joined Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt for dinner in Chicago during the shoot. He related,

“I really couldn’t believe it. I went out to eat with them and there were like 50 camera people waiting outside the restaurant. I haven’t experienced anything like that, but they were both pretty good at not letting it bother them.”

Ever since Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie became a couple, the mother of the hunky actor was reportedly at odds with the pillow-lipped actress. Some say it’s because Jane Pitt is very close to Jennifer Aniston, Brad‘s ex-wife. But now, the tabloids are saying that Brad is reportedly being urged by his mother to make a honest woman of Angelina Jolie. Jane apparently wants the couple to be married for the benefit of their children. A source tells OK! Magazine,

“Jane has a really hard time with them not being married. She feels that they need to be married for the kids. Brad would love to marry Angelina but doesn’t want to force her. The whole family is still keeping their fingers crossed that someday they will tie the knot.”

Did the gorgeous actor sang?? Of course he did! What would people do in American Idol but sing right?? =) The not-so-good news is that Angelina Jolie wasn’t with Brad Pitt when he performed for charity. It has been an American Idol tradition to “give back” every year through celebrities and former AI contestants, and I think Brad was chosen this year coz of his very laudable housing efforts in New Orleans. According to Us Weekly magazine (they spoke with someone who was in the crowd at the taping of the AI special episode), the crowd went wild when Angelina Jolie‘s better half went onstage.

The source further related that American Idol floor manager Debbie McVickers stopped the show because the actor’s mic wasn’t working and was delivering no sound. Thank goodness the show wasn’t live! Glitches like this are major boo-boos! As Debbie tried to attach Brad‘s mic, she joked, “I just needed a reason to touch him!” Hahaha! I wonder how Angelina Jolie will feel about that! Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and their four kids are currently living in Smithville, Texas as Brad films Tree of Life in the Lone Star state. Of course, the Jolie-Pitts got a huge temporary home for their rainbow family. The Texas home they rented is 270 acres (!!!) with a swimming pool, full playground, horses and mini riding trucks – plenty to keep the four children fully occupied!

The View girls asked Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama in their recent episode to help clear up the rumors that he’s related to Brad Pitt. He said,

“I guess we are ninth cousins something removed or something.”

And then Barack Obama jokingly added,

“I think he [Brad] got the better looking side of the gene pool.”

Hehe! Barbara Walters then added,

“We thought you were very sexy looking (applause). Don’t you think so? (to audience)”
