Security guards are now blocking the gates to the recently famous French estate, but maintenance vehicles still regularly passed in and out. Unfortunately for the paps, Miraval castle and accompanying buildings can’t be seen from public roads so they can’t take photos of the Jolie-Pitt family enjoying the massive estate. Onno Stijl, owner of the nearby L’Auberge du Parc inn, said it was a good thing Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, and their rainbow family moved in coz they could help the local business. He gets his wine from the estate’s vineyards.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie may be Miraval’s first movie stars in residence, but Miraval has seen its share of rock stars. The estate includes a studio which has hosted the likes of Sting, the Cranberries and Pink Floyd, who recorded tracks for “The Wall” album there. Onno Stijl says, “It’s a couple living here now like everyone.” The Miraval area, he said, “is a bit isolated but that gives it a certain … privacy.”

Yes, beautiful people do also pass by that awkward stage called teenhood. Hehe! And one actor, Dustin Hoffman, never dreamed that the gawky, awkward teenager who showed up to meet him on the set of Hook would become one of the world’s sexiest women, Angelina Jolie. The pregnant actress was a big fan Peter Pan while growing up and so her father, Jon Voight, asked a favour of his Midnight Cowboy co-star (that’s Dustin). The Voight family then went to the set of the 1991 Steven Spielberg film. Dustin Hoffman, if you remember, played Captain Hook in the movie version of J.M. Barrie’s classic tale. Now co-starring with Angelina Jolie in Kung Fu Panda, the actor recalls their first meeting,

“This film [Kung Fu Panda] was the second time I met her. The first time was on Hook and Jon Voight whom I worked with on Midnight Cowboy called me up on the set and said, ‘My kids are dying to meet Captain Hook. Can I come over?’ So he brings over his kids, he comes in the camper and I’m introduced to his son and then to his daughter. She was a tall, thin, gawky looking girl with a mouthful of braces. I asked them, ‘Do you guys have any idea what you want to do when you grow up?’ She gave me an intense laser look and said, ‘I’m going to be an actress!’”

Yup, you guess it right, the thin teenager who wanted to be an actress is Angelina Jolie! =) We bet Mr. Hoffman never imagined he’d one day be working with the awkward girl that Jon Voight brought to meet him!

Last week, a major celebrity site reported that Angelina Jolie gave birth to twins. However, this was refuted by Brad Pitt’s camp and now, the actress’ legal camp at the Los Angeles firm Lavely & Singer has reportedly circulated a letter to various media outlets warning of an impostor who’s been dishing out erroneous info under the guise of Angelina Jolie‘s longtime assistant, Holly Goline (who’s also pregnant!). The letter read,

“A random individual has engaged in a scheme to intentionally harm my client and deceive her fans, the public and the media through illegal and tortuous impersonation of Ms. Jolie‘s longtime assistant, Holly … The individual who claims to be, and to whom the media has relied upon as, a ‘reliable source’ is not my client’s assistant, nor does the email address belong to my client’s assistant.”

This should serve as a warning to all tabloids and websites reporting amazing “exclusives”. PLEASE GUYS, check and double check your sources! For sure, Angelina Jolie is NOT thrilled with what you’re dishing out!

Jon Voight and her famous daughter have been estranged for quite awhile (nearly eight years, I think). But things have taken a rosier turn for Angelina Jolie and her actor-father. In her Vanity Fair interview, the pregnant actress said,

“We’ve decided not to be public about our relationship. [But] I will say we have spoken … and hadn’t spoken for six and a half years. Which is good. Or it needed to happen.”

But for those thinking that Angie and Jon have a father-daughter relationship now, well, it hasn’t really happened yet. The humanitarian actress revealed,

“We don’t really have a relationship, but we’re in contact. And wish each other well. I think we’ve realized there’s been too much discussion. Him discussing me publicly. I’ve had to comment on him. I think it’s best that, if we try to have any relationship in the future, we do it quietly.”

In her in-depth interview with Vanity Fair magazine, the pregnant humanitarian-actress talked about the paparazzi, and how the business has changed. Angelina Jolie said,

“It’s our media. People always slow down for a train wreck. It’s like junk food. If you don’t feel good about yourself, you want to read crap about other people, like gossip in high school. You don’t understand why it’s there, but somehow it makes a lot of people feel better.”

Very well-said Ange! And so true as well! With the exception of you and Brad Pitt, look who sells the most in terms of paparazzi photos — the train wrecks in the guise of Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, and their ilk! Angelina Jolie then compared the paps before and now,

“In my father’s generation, the product was 80 percent of what you were putting into the world, and your personal life was 20 percent. It now seems that 80 percent of the product I put out is silly, made-up stories and what I’m wearing.”

As for reading the tabloids and looking at paparazzi shots of other celebrities, Angelina Jolie says she’s not into it. Why? Read on..

“I would never do that because I have good friends I would be reading about and I don’t want it even in my head … a negative fairy tale about somebody I like. I don’t want it in my thoughts. I owe it to them not to pay attention. I know it’s not true. Over 95 percent of what’s said about us is entirely untrue.”

If you haven’t heard, the celebrity supercouple recently moved into the Miraval Estate villa in the French hamlet of Correns, in the Provence region. And the reports that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt bought the charming place are NOT true. They just rented the castle for 3 years (from American businessman Tom Bove) according to the town’s mayor and a local inn owner. Mayor Michael Latz trumpets Correns as France’s first town where all locally grown produce is organic — and his villagers teem with pride about that reputation, and seem mostly bemused about the invasion of Hollywood buzz. He apparently said,

“I like to joke that I’m happy to be able to contribute to the image of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, because Correns is so well known.”

The Jolie-Pitt family is “in the process of moving in”. The mayor also said he hadn’t met them and knew nothing about whether Angie had given birth or not. He said,

“They are people who I hope will live normally here. I would think the choice of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie … is tied to the quality of life in Correns.”

Latz also rejected speculation about the Hollywood couple’s imminent wedding, and said that under French law they’d need to alert local authorities if they want to officially tie the knot here.

The “Kung Fu Panda” star’s take on nannies:
“We don’t ever have anybody spend the night. We may have to adjust that when the next one comes. But we do have ladies that work with us, and they’re also from different cultures and back-grounds. One lady’s a Vietnamese teacher—wonderful. One is of Congolese descent from Belgium. Another is from the States and is really creative and does art programs.”

Angelina Jolie on artists as parents:
“Artists raise their kids differently. We communicate to the point where we probably annoy our children. We have art around the house, we have books, we go to plays, we talk. Our focus is art and painting and dress-up and singing. It’s what we love. So I think you can see how artists in some way raise other artists.”
