If these rumors are true, Angelina Jolie is dead set on getting a role in the upcoming ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ film. Here’s the problem…. Anastasia Steele is a young, college student – and more importantly – virginal. 37-year-old Angelina doesn’t necessarily seem like a good fit for the role (although the idea is interesting!). Rumor has it, if Angelina can’t get the part of Anastasia, she might be interested in playing “Mrs. Robinson”, the cougar who drug Christian Grey into the dark world of S&M.

According to a source quoted in the Daily Mirror newspaper, “Angelina kept hearing about the book while she was in the UK. All the girls on set were talking about it and how it’s being made into a film.”

“Angelina went out and bought herself a copy, thinking she’d love a part in the hot topic on everyone’s lips at the moment. She knows the film is bound to be a huge hit.”

Although Jolie has the dark hair and large eyes of Ana Steele, the 37-year-old is significantly older than the college graduate. Additionally, Ana is described as being innocent and virginal, not the smoldering sex appeal that Jolie often typifies.

If Angelina Jolie has her way, the role of Ana Steele would be hers.

On the other hand, perhaps she would be interested in the Elena Lincoln, or “Mrs. Robinson” character, an older, more experienced woman from Christian Grey’s past. She’s gone blond before, and she could easily slip into the character of the dominatrix female.

Other reports have Jolie as the possible director of the film, an interesting idea, though it was quickly shot down by her reps, who said that no discussions occurred between her and Universal Pictures. The studio also claimed Jolie was never approached about directing the picture.

In Case You Didn’t Know

Some days, when I have nothing better to do, I sit around and worry about Angelina Jolie’s career. It’s not that my concern for Angelina’s career is of the “no one wants to work with her” variety, nor is it ever “Angelina can’t carry a movie.” Both of those arguments are false. No, my concerns about her career revolve around the whole “Angelina should be working MORE” variety. Her last starring role was The Tourist. In 2010. Maleficent will be her next film chronologically as an actress – and it doesn’t come out until 2014. Yes, she took time off to chill out with her family and to write and direct In the Land of Blood and Honey… but really, she’s one of the Hollywood’s most in-demand actresses, and she gets to see tons of scripts (GOOD scripts), and it’s a shame she works so rarely.

So… I don’t know if this is good news or not. THR claims that Angelina is going to take a small cameo role in a film called The Great Beauty, directed by Italian auteur Paolo Sorrentino. I wonder if Angelina is playing “the great beauty”?

Paolo Sorrentino, who won two Cannes jury prizes in the last five years and whose last film, This Must Be the Place, was his first project set outside Italy, will return to Rome for his next project, which he says will feature Angelina Jolie in a small role.

Sorrentino is the 42-year-old Neapolitan director behind Il Divo, the film that told the story of Italy’s polarizing political icon Giulio Andreotti, which won the Cannes jury prize in 2008. He followed with This Must Be the Place, which starred Sean Penn as an ageing rocker out to avenge the man who revealed that his father had been a Nazi and won Cannes’ Ecumenical Jury prize in 2011.

Two earlier Sorrentino films, Amico di Famiglia (Family Friend) from 2006 and Le Conseguenze dell’amore (The Consequences of Love) from 2004 also screened in competition in Cannes.

Sorrentinto said his next film, La grande bellezza (The Great Beauty), will be set in Rome. The film, which he said will have a cameo role for Jolie, will star Toni Servillo, who will play a La Dolce Vita-style reporter. It is tentatively scheduled for release in 2013, though it is not clear whether it will be finished in time to become Sorrentino’s fifth consecutive film to screen in competition in Cannes.

The film will be Servillo’s third collaboration with Sorrentino: he played a small role in Conseguenze dell’amore and played the central role of Andreotti in Il Divo.

I mean… sure. I don’t have a problem with her doing small parts or cameos in small, European art films (that sound like Fellini knock-offs). I just wish that these little parts came in between more varied and more constant work as an actress. Incidentally – most people have forgotten that Angelina finally signed on with a Hollywood agent last year. Jolie is now being represented by Ilene Feldman at IFA Talent – Feldman is Ryan Gosling’s agent. It was said at the time that Angelina was seeking to do smaller films and more varied work, looking to move beyond the big-budget franchise films. But… is this the answer? A big-budget, special-effects-heavy Disney film followed by a cameo in an Italian art-house movie? Eh.

Katy Perry has hired a cat shrink to work on her pets’ bad behavior.

The singer – who recently divorced comedian Russell Brand – is having issues with her felines.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: “Katy is getting really worried about her cats and the way they’ve been behaving lately. In the last couple of months they’ve been disappearing for hours and aren’t responding to her like they normally do.

“She thought it may be a reaction to all the building works and the renovation going on in her home in Hollywood, which is getting a huge makeover.”

The insider continued: “So when she heard about cat behavior professionals through a friend, she decided to give it a go.

“The cat whisperer is now working with her cats to communicate with them and calm them down.”

The owner of Kitty Purry and Krusty The Cat thinks the plan is worth the money.

The source said: “Katy sees her cats as more like friends than pets, so she didn’t think twice about hiring the cat whisperer.

“She often talks to Kitty and Krusty when she’s feeling down, and they always manage to cheer her up.

“The fact they’ve been acting weirdly has really bothered her. She doesn’t mind how many sessions she has to pay for, she just wants things back to normal.”

She named her two fragrances Meow and Purr, and devoted a whole character to Kitty Purry in her successful ‘California Dreams’ tour.

The ‘Firework’ singer adopted Krusty The Cat with 37-year-old Russell in 2011 and won custody of the pet after their split earlier this year.

Angelina Jolie wants to plays Anastasia Steele in the movie adaptation of ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’.

The ‘Tomb Raider’ actress has apparently been reading the novel dubbed as ‘mommy porn’ after being introduced to it while shooting her new film in the United Kingdom.

Workers on the set of ‘Maleficent’ persuaded Angelina to pick up E L James’ book and since then she has become interested in a part in the forthcoming motion picture.

The insider continued: “Ange is dead-set on a major part. She’s up for the challenge.”

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley wants to have children.

The 25-year-old model – who is in a relationship with actor Jason Statham – thinks her career is “very self-indulgent” and she is looking forward to reaching a point where she wants to shift her focus to other people instead.

She told the new issue of Britain’s Elle magazine: “I always see myself working, but definitely being a mum will be a big part of me. Look, I think my career is very self-indulgent. It’s all about me.

“I’m not a doctor, I’m not looking after people, I’m not saving children. I’m in the entertainment business. I’m a model. I’m an actress. So it is very self-involved and I think there is naturally a point where you think, ‘I don’t care about myself as number one any more.’ I want to care about other things.”

Rosie also admitted she “hated” modeling when she first began her career.

She explained: “I wasn’t quite tall enough either and I hated it, to be honest. There was no individuality, no opportunity to be individuals.

Anne Hathaway had to “change her lifestyle” to play Catwoman in ‘The Dark Knight Rises’.

The actress worked hard to get into shape to become the villain in the action film, so she could perform her own fight sequences and stunts.

She said: “I had to change my lifestyle in order to play this character. Nobody told me to lose weight, but I was told I had to be strong enough to do my own fight scenes, so I spent several weeks getting into the best physical shape I could.

“I made sure I got to the gym and made a conscious effort to make healthy food choices, and yes, I did feel healthier. Not only did I have to get into shape, but I had to maintain it for the ten months of shooting. I definitely did learn better eating habits during that time.”

However, soon after shooting the film, Anne had to dramatically lose weight for her role as tuberculosis-ridden prostitute Fantine in ‘Les Miserables’, which provided a completely different and difficult challenge for her.

She added to Britain’s Hello! magazine: “I lost 25lb. It was very hard. I lost the first 10 in three weeks and the subsequent 15 in the next two weeks. I don’t recommend anyone try this. It was not designed with any health benefits in mind except to make me look like an impoverished prostitute who was near death.

“I’m back to my usual weight now and feeling fine, but while shooting the film I didn’t look healthy or good and wasn’t supposed to. Dying of tuberculosis is not romantic and it’s not pretty.”

SO, what was she putting into her mouth? Via Shape magazine: While preparing for her role as Catwoman, Hathaway followed an almost vegan, anti-inflammatory diet, which includes whole grains to control blood sugar, avocados, almonds (she doesn’t like walnuts), sesame seeds, dark chocolate, bright red and orange vegetables that are high in antioxidants (Hathaway loves yams), dark leafy greens, ginger, and turmeric. Keeping her protein levels up to build muscle during intense training sessions was the main challenge Hathaway faced, so Keller worked a lot of Seitan and tempeh into the meal plan.
