Beyonce Knowles’ best advice for Rita Ora was to “be yourself.”

The ‘R.I.P’ singer – who is signed on to Beyonce’s husband, Jay-Z’s, record label Roc Nation – admits she was shocked to receive advice from the ‘Love on Top’ singer and has since acted on what she had to say.

She explained: “It’s a compliment to be compared to Rihanna. But you do have to hold your own. If you know yourself then everything else will follow – that’s what Beyonce told me.

“She was always one of my idols, so to have her in my face was amazing.”

The 21-year-old star also revealed her plans for her own fashion line, as she takes style “seriously”.

She told Marie Claire magazine: “I take fashion seriously. My tour outfit has been planned for months.

“I’m a big fan of Kim West, Balmain and JW Anderson. Right now it’s about the music, but one day, I’ll have a fashion line.”
