And that’s according to the Guinness Book of World Records! Angelina Jolie is the Most Powerful Actress while Brad Pitt is the Most Powerful Actor!! The Wanted actress jointly held the title with Jennifer Aniston last year while Brad ended Tom Cruise’s four-year reign as the Most Powerful Actor. In the Guinness World Records 2009 Edition, a new proprietary rating system was calculated based on a 12-month matrix of Google, Yahoo and Factiva searches (Angelina Jolie topped of course); IMDBPro news stories and “Star Meter” readings, as well as Forbes earnings and Celebdaq share price, at the time of press.

Craig Glenday, Editor-In-Chief of Guinness World Records, explains: “In previous editions, we’ve bestowed celebrity records based on rankings from websites such as Forbes. Given the obvious interest in entertainment categories we decided to establish our own rating system comprising data from multiple trusted sources for Guinness World Records 2009 to use going forward.” Congratulations Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt! ^_^

And they were a new entry at that! Amazing huh?? The Daily Telegraph reported last Wednesday that Vanity Fair’s annual list of the world’s 100 most powerful and influential people listed Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt in their top 10. The list is scheduled to appear in the October issue of the magazine.

Yeah, only the Jolie-Pitt boys were able to come with Daddy Brad for the Venice Film Festival. Though it was highly rumored that Angelina Jolie will make her first post-pregnancy appearance in the said festival, she was nowhere to be found during its first few days. Clad in white attire, hunky Brad Pitt and his sons, Maddox and Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt, arrived in Venice for the 65th Annual Venice International Film Festival on last August 26. The pregnant actress had a different fashion style in her second photocall in the Cannes festival. Angelina Jolie wore a very chic all-black ensemble including a scoopneck top, flair-legged trousers and a hipster blazer. No, they’re not angry at each other — they’re just fighting for the Best Villain award at the 2008 MTV Movie Awards. Yup, the golden slippery Angelina Jolie and a dead-pale murderous Johnny Depp will finally meet and battle! The pregnant actress’ portrayal of Grendel’s mother in “Beowulf” has been nominated alongside Johnny’s take on demonic barber Sweeney Todd in the musical “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.” So who’s badder? I don’t know! But Angelina Jolie is definitely sexier! Hehe!
Their other competitors include Topher Grace, for his role as Venom in “Spider-Man 3”; Javier Bardem for his Academy Award-winning portrayal of an assassin “No Country for Old Men”; and Denzel Washington for his take on drug lord Frank Lucas in “American Gangster.” The 17th Annual MTV Movie Awards will be broadcast live Sunday, June 1, from the Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City, California. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were ranked No. 21 on TIME Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People. And their good pal George Clooney wrote an article explaining how and why they were deserving of the honor. Here’s a snippet of the article:

“As a team, actors Brad Pitt, 44, and Angelina Jolie, 32, have served as our goodwill ambassadors worldwide. They brought help to Pakistan in 2005, after a catastrophic earthquake killed tens of thousands of people and left millions homeless. They have tended to the poor and sick in Africa. And they’ve raised global awareness—and contributed $1 million of their own money—for the victims of atrocities in Darfur. Brad co-founded Not on Our Watch, an organization set up to focus global attention on Darfur and other hot spots.

Angelina has worked tirelessly through the United Nations on behalf of refugees around the world, touring border camps in Africa, Asia and Latin America and lobbying on Capitol Hill. The couple cares for three adopted children, from Cambodia, Ethiopia and Vietnam, in addition to their biological daughter.”

Isn’t that cool?? But wait til you here this: the documentary was made by a student of the Films & Television Institute of India (FTII) during his second year! According to reports, 30-year old Saurav Dey trailed Angelina Jolie two years ago when she was filming “A Mighty Heart” in Pune and made his experience a documentary. The project entitled “Chasing Angelina Jolie” won Saurev an Indian Documentary Producers’ Association (IDPA) award held in Mumbai last Saturday. The film student said his project was not pre-planned but the idea of chasing Brangelina on their Indian sojourn clicked when he read about it in the newspapers. Recounting his experience he said,

“Made in English (with a smattering of Hindi in it), the film is about our steps in trying to get her. But we could not interact with her or Brad, at all. However, we made sure not to cross the ethical boundary during the making of the film. It’s a reality documentary showing everything that happened on our way. “

Saurav picked up scraps of information as best as he could from a couple of senior film directors as well as the journalists who were chasing the Hollywood hot shot couple. Terming it as a “fun documentary film” Saurav says he knew that it would be a hit with the youth but did not expect to receive an award for it. In fact, he was a tad skeptical about the manner in which his documentary would be received. Guess the judges love seeing Angelina Jolie, ergo the award! Hehe!

According to a British poll, the most seductive woman of all time has Halle Berry’s eyes, Jennifer Lopez’s nose, Kelly Brook’s hair and body, Angelina Jolie’s pout and wears Marilyn Monroe’s white dress (from the Seven Year Itch). And she’s none other than Angelle L’Brook! Yup, that’s her above =) She was created after the survey of more than 1,000 women for the fabric conditioner Lenor Infusions on who they find the most seductive. The women voted Marilyn Monroe the most seductive woman from the past, and Angelina Jolie the most seductive living woman.

But while British women thought that Hollywood stars were brimming with alluring attributes, they felt less confident about their own power to bewitch, the survey found. Lenor said the art of seduction in danger of being “lost” in Britain, because 49% said they did not feel seductive. Blaming their hectic lifestyles, 51% said they couldn’t remember the last time they felt in the mood for seduction, something they believed “mostly happens in the movies”. Tsk, poor Brits!
