Angelina Jolie on EW’s cover!

angelina-jolie-ew2.jpgThat’s Entertainment Weekly magazine for you! And man, did Angelina Jolie gave a very candid interview to them! Yeah, she talked about how’s sex with Brad Pitt! And yes, they’re even doing it while she’s pregnant! LOL! Angie’s interview was done while she was checking out a window display of Corum watches at the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat in the south of France. Here are some delicious excerpts from Angie’s interview

On people saying being pregnant is bad for one’s sex life: “No, I think it’s quite the opposite. It’s great for the sex life. It just makes you a lot more creative. So you have fun, and as a woman you’re just so round and full.”

What would you say are the best and worst things about being pregnant? “It’s all just so nice. You just really can’t complain about anything as long as you know the babies are looking healthy. The only thing that’s hard for me now is with twins and having four kids, there’s a lot of the doctor saying ”Stop picking them up as much.” But we’ve worked out a system where Brad just lifts them to me every time they want to come up. I just don’t bend down. I’ll scream, ”Honey!” and he’ll come running and lift them up. Or they climb on chairs, so it’s not as big of a lift. So we’re trying to follow doctor’s orders, but I’m bending them a tiny bit.”

You and Brad aren’t married. How do you refer to each other? “We have that problem all the time. I say ”partner” sometimes. ”Father of my children” is too long. But half the time people refer to us as, ”So, your wife this, your husband that.” We’ve stopped correcting everybody. It’s not a big intentional thing not to marry. We immediately were a family when we became a couple, and children were the priority, and we’re both legally committed to the children. And that seemed to be the right thing.”

Angelina Jolie talks about Shiloh

brangelina-shiloh-bonpointfrance2.jpgWhen her twins will come, all her other four kids will surely be neglected by the media. So before everything goes to the way of the twins, Angelina Jolie shared her wonderful experience with her first natural-born kid, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt. Here’s what she shared:

“We were in this little hospital in Africa when Shi was born. I don’t think there was anybody else in the hospital. It was just a little cottage, the three of us. It ended up being the greatest thing. We had wonderful doctors and nurses. It was lovely, very personal, all three in this sweet room. We had an American doctor with us, who had met the Namibian doctors, and they worked in tandem because it was a C-section and my first and we didn’t know the country. He spent a few weeks with us. There was only one pediatrician in town, and one anesthesiologist, who had to come in for that—you have to plan it.”

As for Shiloh’s name, where did Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt got that? We all know that the actress named her three adopted kids with meaningful ones. Angie revealed,

“It’s a biblical name, but we didn’t name her for that. It was a name my parents almost named their first child—there was a miscarriage: Shiloh Baptist. Because my father had been shooting in Georgia and that was the most southern name [my parents] could come up with. It’s a name I always liked. I used to go under it in hotels: Shiloh Baptist. I’d gone under it when [Brad] called hotel rooms where I was staying.”

Angie confirmed she’s talking to her dad

Jon Voight and her famous daughter have been estranged for quite awhile (nearly eight years, I think). But things have taken a rosier turn for Angelina Jolie and her actor-father. In her Vanity Fair interview, the pregnant actress said,

“We’ve decided not to be public about our relationship. [But] I will say we have spoken … and hadn’t spoken for six and a half years. Which is good. Or it needed to happen.”

But for those thinking that Angie and Jon have a father-daughter relationship now, well, it hasn’t really happened yet. The humanitarian actress revealed,

“We don’t really have a relationship, but we’re in contact. And wish each other well. I think we’ve realized there’s been too much discussion. Him discussing me publicly. I’ve had to comment on him. I think it’s best that, if we try to have any relationship in the future, we do it quietly.”

Angelina Jolie talks about the paparazzi

In her in-depth interview with Vanity Fair magazine, the pregnant humanitarian-actress talked about the paparazzi, and how the business has changed. Angelina Jolie said,

“It’s our media. People always slow down for a train wreck. It’s like junk food. If you don’t feel good about yourself, you want to read crap about other people, like gossip in high school. You don’t understand why it’s there, but somehow it makes a lot of people feel better.”

Very well-said Ange! And so true as well! With the exception of you and Brad Pitt, look who sells the most in terms of paparazzi photos — the train wrecks in the guise of Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, and their ilk! Angelina Jolie then compared the paps before and now,

“In my father’s generation, the product was 80 percent of what you were putting into the world, and your personal life was 20 percent. It now seems that 80 percent of the product I put out is silly, made-up stories and what I’m wearing.”

As for reading the tabloids and looking at paparazzi shots of other celebrities, Angelina Jolie says she’s not into it. Why? Read on..

“I would never do that because I have good friends I would be reading about and I don’t want it even in my head … a negative fairy tale about somebody I like. I don’t want it in my thoughts. I owe it to them not to pay attention. I know it’s not true. Over 95 percent of what’s said about us is entirely untrue.”

Angie’s take on nannies and parents

More from Vanity Fair magazine’s interview with Angelina Jolie on their July issue. Read on! =)

The “Kung Fu Panda” star’s take on nannies:
“We don’t ever have anybody spend the night. We may have to adjust that when the next one comes. But we do have ladies that work with us, and they’re also from different cultures and back-grounds. One lady’s a Vietnamese teacher—wonderful. One is of Congolese descent from Belgium. Another is from the States and is really creative and does art programs.”

Angelina Jolie on artists as parents:
“Artists raise their kids differently. We communicate to the point where we probably annoy our children. We have art around the house, we have books, we go to plays, we talk. Our focus is art and painting and dress-up and singing. It’s what we love. So I think you can see how artists in some way raise other artists.”

Angelina Jolie loves being pregnant!

angelinajolie_vanityfair.jpg

In the July issue of Vanity Fair magazine (out this week!!), Angelina Jolie shares her innermost feelings about life, love, marriage, and her career with writer Rich Cohen. An exclusive preview of her frank remarks about birth, babies, nannies, and more is at the magazine’s website (and below). The full story of the Angelina Jolie cover will be available on VF.com tomorrow so watch out for it! =)

Her take on being pregnant:
“I love it. It makes me feel like a woman. It makes me feel that all the things about my body are suddenly there for a reason. It makes you feel round and supple, and to have a little life inside you is amazing. Also, I’m fortunate. I think some women have a different experience depend-ing on their partner. I think that affects it. I happen to be with somebody who finds pregnancy very sexy. So that makes me feel very sexy.”

Angelina Jolie on Shiloh’s birth:
“We were in this little hospital in Africa when Shi was born. I don’t think there was anybody else in the hospital. It was just a little cottage, the three of us. It ended up being the greatest thing…. I had a C-section and I found it fascinating. I didn’t find it a sacrifice and I didn’t find it a painful experience. I found it a fascinating miracle of what a body can do.”

Rapper Common admires Angie

rappercommon.jpgThe rapper turned actor is one of Angelina Jolie’s latest “victim” — that is, co-stars who fall under under her spell. James McAvoy, another Wanted co-star, had already expressed his admiration for the pregnant actress. And now, it’s Rapper Common’s turn. According to him, “I admire her.” And he makes the most of his role opposite Angelina Jolie. He shares,

“I’m an assassin who’s a part of her fraternity. We do some pretty crazy things, but all in the name of justice.”

Rapper also shared that Wanted is “intense.” And that the humanitarian actress is “always really focused on what she’s doing” despite being hounded daily by the paparazzi. One night, the rapper turned actor joined Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt for dinner in Chicago during the shoot. He related,

“I really couldn’t believe it. I went out to eat with them and there were like 50 camera people waiting outside the restaurant. I haven’t experienced anything like that, but they were both pretty good at not letting it bother them.”

Full transcipt of Angie’s CNN Iraq interview!

angie_damon.jpgI have always loved Angelina Jolie when she speaks of missions and advocacies in life. Some may love her for her beauty and/or talent, but me? It’s her passion to help people that drew me close to her. So, to some, this full transcript of Angelina Jolie’s interview with CNN may be boring. But I say, let’s get to know the gorgeous Beowulf star when she’s not being an actress! =) Here’s the exclusive interview with CNN’s Arwa Damon.

Damon: First of all thank you obviously for your time. What is your main aim in this visit — what are you trying to acomplish while you are out here?

Jolie: Well I came to the region about 6 months ago, I first went to Syria because I work with U.N.H.C.R. and there are 1.5 million refugees in Syria alone from Iraq and while I was there, I went inside and met with some internally displaced people. And this trip is to get a better picture of the internally displaced people and to discuss with the local government, with our government, with the NGOs and with local people, the situation and try to understand what is happening, because there are over 2 million internally displaced people and there doesn’t seem to be a real coherent plan to help them and there’s lots of good will and lot’s of discussion –but there seem to be a lot of uh — just a lot of talk at the moment and a lot of pieces need to be put together. So, trying to figure out what they are.

Angie’s Newsweek interview transcript

Thought I’d share Angelina Jolie’s Newsweek interview transcript with you guys! I know some of you are on dialup and had a hard time playing the Newsweek video. The next best thing? Reading the transcript! =) Here is Angelina Jolie’s personal story about filming A Mighty Heart — the movie that’s been giving her the Oscar buzz! Enjoy!

“I was comfortable when Mariane [Pearl] was comfortable. But I wasn’t so comfortable the first day of shooting, when I realized his style was so unbelievably raw. There is often no rehearsal, no one saying “cut.” For example, you have three different rooms, and we would go into one room and we’d be talking, say our five lines, and he’d film us. Then I’d go pee, and I’d come out, and the camera was still on. So I’d think, “OK …” Then I’d say my five lines again, and that would turn into 10 more minutes of talking, and then someone would go get something from the kitchen and I’d go to my bedroom, and he’d follow me and he just wouldn’t leave…

angie_amightyheart.jpg

…It was really odd. But it became just the most perfect way to shoot that film. It was chaos in that moment. It was very intimate, and my big fear was that something horrible might happen and the camera would be like this. [She gestures as though there’s a camera right in her face] But everybody was absolutely connected in every single moment. Even when we’d have lunch, we’d have it together at the table, or we’d all go for a walk together. We were just always present in the film. And so as an actor it brought me back to loving acting, and that was just great. But he does cross a line. One day one of the girls got sick and threw up, and he said, “Next time, tell us.” So he can be a little crazy. But I absolutely adore him.”
