Just one day after insulting Jon Voight, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt on her blog, to comedienne “sort of” apologized to Hollywood’s top couple — but she didn’t extend the peace sign to the Jon. The elderly actor has also slammed Roseanne Barr in reaction to her post via a statement to a TV show. Anyway, back to Roseanne’s “apology”. Last Tuesday, in a blog post titled “I do not know Brangelina,” the former TV star wrote:

“[I] do not mean to personally impugn them as they might be good people in the flesh, but the media’s images of them are smelly and vile, and I must always attack the media’s representation of what is good or cool.”

Roseanne Barr further blogged, lashing out against bloggers and the media, who were quick to report on her vile remarks. She said:

“Those who inhabit the media world of glamour and entertainment and fashion and gossip are horrid people who have no talent of any kind, and yet think of themselves as tastemakers.”

In the blog post that drew severe reactions, the comedienne criticized Angelina Jolie for stating that she was undecided on a presidential candidate and was waiting to hear more information. Roseanne Barr also took aim at Brad Pitt, calling him “vacuous,” and noted that the couple make “forty million dollars a year in violent psychopathic movies and give away three of it to starving children,” referring to the Jolie-Pitt Foundation, which has raised millions for charitable causes.

After Roseanne Barr insulted Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and her father Jon Voight, the aging actor ranted back via Extra. Here is Jon’s response to Roseanne below:

“Answer to Roseanne Barr’s Rant:

We can never be surprised at what vile evil comes from the mouth of a confessed victim of child abuse at the hands of her own parents.

Her parents responded to the accusation by going on the air and slating she is a psychopathic liar and her sister agreed.

Her defaming of our National Anthem in 1990 gave us insight into who she is and what she is capable of saying and doing.

My allegiance to Senator McCain becomes stronger with any assault that tries to deter my loyalty to him.

I can only pray that good people see her for what she is (sick of mind).

For some reason, the comedian who supports Barack Obama launched a tirade against Angelina Jolie‘s father who is a John McCain supporter. Here’s what RoseAnn Barr wrote in her blog about Jon Voight:

[Jon Voight] is a frightened little girl in a pink ballet tutu, who acts like Obama just wandered in from the rain forest with a bone thru his nose and a communist pamphlet in his loincloth. The neocons who own jon voight and make him dance on the chabad telethons are the worst most elitist people on earth. glen beck and jon voight are their bitches…

Yeah, venomous and harsh words! But RoseAnn was not satisfied with just that and she continued her bashing — this time including Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. She blogged,

jon voight your evil spawn angelina jolie and her vacuous hubby brad pitt make about forty million dollars a year in violent psychopathic movies and give away three of it to starving children trying to look as if they give a crap about humanity … Also miss jolie says she likes mccain too and hasn’t decided who to endorse….huh? Aren’t you supposed to be somewhat enlightened, or do you not know that the african daughter you hold in every picture had parents who suffered and died because of the republican party’s worldwide economic assault on africa over the last few decades since reagan? whaaaa…??????!!!!

RoseAnn Barr even included Pax Thien and Maddox in her rant. I didn’t include it already coz it sounded harsh =( Brangelina and Jon Voight haven’t commented yet.

Yeah, that’s right – happiness is all in the family! =) Angelina Jolie’s long estranged father, Jon Voight, has been busy shooting the upcoming season of 24 but some of the press caught up with him while filming. Says the 69-year old actor about his two new grandchildren, Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline,

“I am deeply happy. I’m over the moon. It’s magnificent. In this world, all we can hope for is that mommy and the kids are healthy. I’m very excited and thanks for letting me send my love to them. If I were called today, I’d be there.”

Well, I hope Angelina Jolie will find it in her heart to let Grandpa Voight visit her adorable twins =)

Yes, beautiful people do also pass by that awkward stage called teenhood. Hehe! And one actor, Dustin Hoffman, never dreamed that the gawky, awkward teenager who showed up to meet him on the set of Hook would become one of the world’s sexiest women, Angelina Jolie. The pregnant actress was a big fan Peter Pan while growing up and so her father, Jon Voight, asked a favour of his Midnight Cowboy co-star (that’s Dustin). The Voight family then went to the set of the 1991 Steven Spielberg film. Dustin Hoffman, if you remember, played Captain Hook in the movie version of J.M. Barrie’s classic tale. Now co-starring with Angelina Jolie in Kung Fu Panda, the actor recalls their first meeting,

“This film [Kung Fu Panda] was the second time I met her. The first time was on Hook and Jon Voight whom I worked with on Midnight Cowboy called me up on the set and said, ‘My kids are dying to meet Captain Hook. Can I come over?’ So he brings over his kids, he comes in the camper and I’m introduced to his son and then to his daughter. She was a tall, thin, gawky looking girl with a mouthful of braces. I asked them, ‘Do you guys have any idea what you want to do when you grow up?’ She gave me an intense laser look and said, ‘I’m going to be an actress!’”

Yup, you guess it right, the thin teenager who wanted to be an actress is Angelina Jolie! =) We bet Mr. Hoffman never imagined he’d one day be working with the awkward girl that Jon Voight brought to meet him!

Jon Voight and her famous daughter have been estranged for quite awhile (nearly eight years, I think). But things have taken a rosier turn for Angelina Jolie and her actor-father. In her Vanity Fair interview, the pregnant actress said,

“We’ve decided not to be public about our relationship. [But] I will say we have spoken … and hadn’t spoken for six and a half years. Which is good. Or it needed to happen.”

But for those thinking that Angie and Jon have a father-daughter relationship now, well, it hasn’t really happened yet. The humanitarian actress revealed,

“We don’t really have a relationship, but we’re in contact. And wish each other well. I think we’ve realized there’s been too much discussion. Him discussing me publicly. I’ve had to comment on him. I think it’s best that, if we try to have any relationship in the future, we do it quietly.”

So, Angelina Jolie will be a June bride after all! If the rumormongers are right, that is ^_^ According to the tabloids, Brad Pitt and his pregnant partner are planning a secret summer wedding. PLUS, the event could lead to a reconciliation between Angelina Jolie and her estranged actor father Jon Voight. The couple are apparently going for an intimate and non-religious ceremony at their retreat in Santa Barbara in early June, with only close family and friends present. UK’s Daily Mail’s report that Angie has asked her father to walk her down the aisle. A source reveals,

“Since they started talking by phone in January, Angie has thought about asking Jon to give her away. When Angie and Brad started seriously discussing a wedding, the issue of Angie reconciling with her dad came up again and again. Angie came around after her brother intervened and strongly urged her to bury the hatchet.”

Now isn’t that sweet?? =) And it’s about time! A father and daughter should never quarrel and left it at that for years! Anyway, although Brangelina planned a quiet wedding, there will be some celebrities, with Brad‘s close friends George Clooney and Matt Damon expected to attend.

The father and daughter are still estranged but that didn’t keep Jon Voight from admitting that he finds his daughter Angelina Jolie ‘terrific’. USMagazine.com reports that the Hollywood actor said he looks up to Angie and Brad for raising their family right. He says,

“People who raise children properly are heroes to me because it takes a lot of work. And when they do it with joy and love, there’s nothing more beautiful.”

Jon Voight also commended Angelina Jolie‘s global charity work. The proud daddy stated,

“I think she’s terrific. God bless her!”

The grandfather of four (through Angie) also views her latest pregnancy as being wonderful, saying that he feels great the family is expanding. Jon Voight raves,

“I’m very excited, and I’m sending my love to the family. They’re getting to be a bigger family — it’s great! It’s nice to see people embracing family and loving that whole process.”

A new wedding rumor is out! Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will apparently marry on a yacht this summer! According to the report, the couple will tie the knot in an intimate ceremony after Angie gives birth in France. A source told Grazia:

“Brad has been talking about getting married for ages. He is totally devoted to her and their children. It is the right time for them to do this.”

The source further told the tabloid,

“It will be a strictly private affair. Brad did the big celebrity-packed wedding when he married Jennifer Aniston. This time it will be an intimate family gathering.”

The source also added that Angelina Jolie is considering inviting estranged father Jon Voight but wants brother James Haven to give her away.

“Angelina has said there will be no big white dress or lots of flowers. At the moment they are looking at hosting a ceremony this summer on a yacht out in the ocean, miles from land, with just their children, Brad‘s close family and Angelina‘s brother.”

The two may be estranged but Jon Voight, Angie’s dad, never fails to comment on whatever rumor the Beowulf actress is embroiled in. The latest, of course, is the pregnancy buzz. Jon, who has been estranged from Angelina Jolie since 2002 and has yet to meet his four grandchildren, told the New York Observer:

“It’s wonderful news that she’s having another child, if that’s true.”

The “National Treasure” actor added,

“I can’t count on anything the press says about her [Angelina Jolie] because there is so much said but she has certainly captured the imagination of the press.”
